Gail Rickards

Gail Rickards, an Associate Consultant of RLR Management Consulting, Inc., has over 30 years experience in the financial industry, both as part of banking management and as consultant. During her career at Wells Fargo Bank, Ms. Rickards held the positions of Commercial Lender, Manager of Special Operations Projects for the Head of Retail Banking, Director of the Customer Service Program, reporting to the President, and Compliance and Service Director for the Credit Card Division. In independent banking, she served as Region Manager and Chief Administrative Officer.

As a consultant, Ms. Rickards has provided Project Leadership to a variety of corporations and banks and is experienced in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, new business and service launches, operational and customer service turnarounds, and growth strategy development and implementation.

Her experience includes:

Marketing, operations and customer communication components of acquisition of a network of SandL branches by large privately-held bank.
Establishment of Central Operations, management training and development, and policy and procedure changes for a $200 million independent bank after acquisition of an SandL branch and subsequent data processing conversion.
Management of Data Center as member of Conversion Team for merger of a $130 million independent bank with four locations, centralized operations and in-house data processing into a $500 million Holding Company with three banking subsidiaries.
All Operations, Marketing Communication and Customer Service components of a successful new brokerage service for a five-bank consortium.
Strategic Planning and goal setting facilitation, design of implementation and tracking processes for $250 million independent bank.
Market research and development of branch location strategy for $1.2 billion independent bank network, recently acquired by RaboBank.

Ms. Rickards is the author of the text published by The World Bank on retail bank customer service, operations and product pricing. She currently writes banking content for several websites and was the personal finance editor for a recently published book.
