Richard Aubrey has an extensive background in the areas of financial and treasury management, mergers & acqusitions, asset/liability management, and strategic planning.
Mr. Aubrey served as SVP/Treasurer for a $65 billion international commercial bank. Recently, he was SVP/Corporate Development and Senior Mergers and Acqusitions Analyst . From 1986 to 1993, he served as Treasurer and Controller of a $1.1 billion commercial bank. He received his CPA in Montana while controller and treasurer of a 16 bank holding company.
His experience includes:
Managed a treasury group that was responsible for interest rate risk, liquidity, and balance sheet management; hedging; trasnfer pricing, product pricing, merger & acqusition analysis; and the investments portfolio for a $65 billion bank operating in 19 Western states. From 1993 to 2002 was responsible for capital markets group which included the sale of foreign exchange, investment sales, and interest rate derivatives. Responsible for overall treasury risk management under Sarbanes/Oxley.
Managed controller group of a $1 billion asset National Bank with a staff of 11 people. Responsible for general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, regulatory reporting including call reports, bi-weekly Federal Reserve Bank, Federal and State income taxes, NASD filings.
Part of a management team that successfully executed ten commercial bank/bank-holding company, thrift/thrift holding company, and branch acqusitions from 1993 to 2005. This included valuation, due diligence, and integrations. Close working relationships with FDIC (San Francisco & Dallas, TX) and California Department of Financial Institution regulators on multiple bank and thrift closures.
Worked closely with executive management and investment bankers on strategic planning issues including: development of short and long-term business plans, branch strategies, mergers & acqusitions, and issuance of new equity and debt capital in both the public and private markets.
Served on Asset/Liability and Pricing Committees of commercial banks ranging in asset size from $1 billion to $65 billion. Chairman of ALM Committee from 1993 to 2005. Developed treasury and accounting policies covering ALM , Transfer Pricing, Derivatives, Investment, and F/X sales. Managed interbank credit analysis and adherence to approved credit limits.
Purchased and installed several A/L modeling systems, data-warehouse, and trasnfer-pricing systems over a period from 1982 to 2005.
Mr. Aubrey holds a BA in Economics from the College of Wooster in Wooster, OH and is currently a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants.
